Iran documentary '20th Circuit Suspects' is selected to compete at 2018 Golden Apricot International Film Fest in Armenia.
Directed by Hesam Eslami, the flick will compete with 12 other international documentaries in the competition section of the festival.
After having his car stolen, the director meets Ehsan, the leader of an adolescent crime gang that breaks into cars regularly.
The director and the members of the group develop close relationships which they keep for six whole years.
The film gives a close look into Ehsan and the gang's life by documenting heists, wild chases, escaping from the police, imprisonment, release and, ultimately, the gang breaking up.
'20th Circuit Suspects' has received a Crystal Simorgh from the 35th Fajr Film Festival.
It has also taken home the Best Film award from the Ethnocineca International Documentary Film Festival in Vienna, Austria.
Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival was established in 2004 in the capital city of Republic of Armenia, Yerevan.
The 15th edition of the festival which is slated for July 8-15, 2018 enjoys Iran two-time Oscar-winner director Asghar Farhadi as jury.
